El Corte Ingles in my village?

My village only has about 2500 people living here, but nevertheless it seems El Corte Ingles has arrived. For those outsiders who dont know what El Corte Ingles is, I can tell you that it is a large department store chain here in Spain.

Anyway, on a daily basis we have an elderly man driving around all the small streets on his little moto with a plastic crate on the back selling what I assume is his own home grown vegetables.

You always know he is coming by the vast amount of yelling that goes on. "Lo mejor Hija, Lo mejor. Naranjas. Calabazin. Lo mejor."

Apparantly his sales pitch cant be going to well, or he is feeling the competition from the local supermarkets and the weekly veggie market, because he has changed his pit.

He has now started to yell "El Corte Ingles, hija. Lo mejor. El corte Ingles. Naranjas. Lo mejor." so I guess he now sees himself of our local version of El Corte Ingles with his high quality vegetables. Ever the sales guy he is.
